I Went to see Mt St. Eilsa, it was about guys who skli. It showed how strong and determines men are. It proves once again that men are the stronger then women. That man can conquer nature, but women cant. To prove you are it didn’t pass the Bechtel. The entire film is male dominated. Oppression was a main competent because they were isolated in the middle of no where, without anyone else. The men try to stay alive through the freezing cold. They use there masculinity to fight to stay alive in the frozen wilderness. In the film it the film is center around male bonding and skiing. This is film I would consider a film that has a bromance, because in the film they were bonding through skiing and many times trying to stay warm. The Skier was determined to conquer the mountain as a team. This film had a lot of patriarchy in it. The entire film and it makers were white male. It showed how men are capable of doing the impositable, and consiterability the stronger of the sexs. Men have the courage to surived in the wilderness, no matter what happens.
here is a trailer of the movie i found on YouTube

ReplyDeleteNice job identifying what was missing from a film versus what was there. Again, I wish your blog entry was a little longer with a little more analysis.
